This chapter presents a list of Abbreviations used in this book Prophet und König im Nordreich Israel. The book discusses the prophetic traditions of Samuel, Elijah and Elisha in 1 Samuel and 1 and 2 Kings and shreds new light on the social importance of so-called "pre-classical" prophecy. Abbreviations used in this book are focused based on the second edition of the International List of abbreviations for theology and border regions of S. Schwertner (IATG, 1992). For the biblical books and personal names, the "Ecumenical Directory of biblical personal names can be used according to the Loccumer guidelines". The original text of the chapter is in German.
