Chapter Summary

This index presents a list of author names relevant to the book on Prophet und König im Nordreich Israel. This chapter analyzes the texts initially from diachronic point of view to explore the relationship between the king and the "prophet" in detail, as it appears in the texts. The prophet is stylized as the actual saviour figure. This development is examined along with the extensive prophetic traditions of Samuel, Elijah and Elisha. The study of individual texts, the questions about the dating of these texts, their tradition-makers and the relationship to the historical reality in selected points are completely considered. The present study is expected to be pre-exilic edition of the deuteronomistic history at the time of Josiah and two deuteronomistic editors layers. The original text of the chapter is in German.
