The texts in this chapter originatea from one single issue, number 2, of the journal Archive of Sociology and Morality, which was released in the Spring of 1944. First of all, certainly, the question of politics, and the awareness of the need for a radical social change, the faith in the creativity of the large masses of people, and the central character of the democratic project. Equally also, they will find authors philosophical quest: how we can think about society and history and, starting with this: what we can think about our relations, as human beings, together with the "objects" that surround us (and constructs us) as well as about the "ideas" that determine these relations.
