Chapter Summary

This bibliography of the book The Mortuary Archaeology of the Medieval Banat presents a list of primary sources and secondary literature relevant to the discussion of archaeological research conducted on the territory of Banat, and the study of cemeteries dated to the 10th-14th centuries. A catalogue of cemetery sites in the historical Banat, which have been dated between the 9th and the 14th, was first published in 2008. József Hampel was the first to put order in this bewildering variety of archaeological evidence produced by 10th to 11th-century cemeteries.
