Chapter Summary

The bibliography includes a list of reference articles discussed in this book Herrschergenealogie und Religiöses Patronat. The book includes the inscription culture of Rāṣṭrakūṭas, Śilāhāras and Yādavas who reigned in central India from 8th to 13th centuries. It shows the modification of genealogical accounts to legitimize individual claims to power and proves that 10th and 11th centuries were a period of religious change, which witnessed the shift in patronage patterns and a closer link between Vedic Brahmanism and Hindu temple worship. The entries are arranged in alphabetical order. The original text of the chapter is in German.

Keywords: Śilāhāras; Hindu temple worship; Rāṣṭrakūṭas; Vedic Brahmanism; Yādavas
