This chapter presents a note about the author in the book Salamanders of the Old World: The Salamanders of Europe, Asia and Northern Africa. The book talks about Hynobiidae that is a monophyletic family, sister to the Cryptobranchidae. Hynobiids are small to moderate sized salamanders, ranging from about 10 to 20 cm total length.
