Chapter Summary

Phenomenology of life, elaborated by Michel Henry, offers a philosophical approach to the truth of christianity as truth of Life, including a new conception of the human person as a living being given-to-himself in the in-carnation of Christ, the First-Living. The purpose of this article is to consider how this new understanding enables us to carry out phenomenology of life as an immanent christology and thus, to examinate what theology becomes in such a view. In so far as Christ in his entire real existence is the World of Life, He is the primary theology, actualised in the Eucharist and from which theology can be developped in its bond with the Holy Scriptures in which the World of Life reveals himself.
