Chapter Summary

This chapter presents a list of contributors name that have been cited in the book The New Testament Interpreted: Essays in Honour of Bernard C. Lategan. The book is the result of an Alexander von Humboldt Colloquium, "Interpreting the New Testament (NT)", which took place at the Stellenbosch Institute for Advance Study (STIAS) from 12 to 14 August 2004. The colloquium was organized by two of the editors, Cilliers Breytenbach and Johan Thom, to honour Bernard Lategan for his important contribution to NT scholarship in South Africa and internationally. Having studied ancient languages, linguistics, literature and theology at the Universities of the Free State and Stellenbosch, and after completing his doctoral studies at Kampen in the Netherlands, Lategan started his academic career as Professor of NT at the University of the Western Cape and subsequently served as Professor of Biblical Studies at the University of Stellenbosch.
