Chapter Summary

This chapter presents an overview on the notes dedicated to a colleague who edited most of biblical manuscripts from Cave 4. The publication by D. Bartholomew identified only eight of the 40 fragments of the manuscript and the publisher is strictly remained preserved in text, thus depriving other indications that may hold the manuscript. Fragment 26 is the first fragment localizable and unidentified by Bartholomew following an incomplete decryption. In 9.48, Bartholomew noted variants reported in other versions. This restoration of the roll that tried to best identify all fragments in the book, has corrected many read errors and shows for the first time most chapters. It gives an idea of the width of the columns and the layout of text for some places retained even if the default TM use can mask the presence of other spellings or textual variants.
