Chapter Summary

Immediately following the publication of NGSL, the author found a number of errors that deserved correction. As time has gone by, he found a few more mistakes to correct, though he has not looked for them systematically, and naturally have rethought some of my positions. The author finds it appropriate to make these corrections and second thoughts available in this section. It must be stressed that they by no means represent an attempt, let alone systematic, to supplement or update NGSL. Regarding SEG XXXII 86: Even with some uncertainties cleared up by autopsies, it remains questionable whether, even accepting it as a set of festival regulations, this text should be included in the corpus of Greek sacred laws.
