The genus Caralluma is revised for Israel and just two species are recognized: C. sinaica (Decne) Berger and C. europaea var. judaica Zohary. Full synonymy and descriptions are given, and specimens from various herbaria are cited. C. sinaica is considered over its whole range, but this account is restricted to the Sinai, Israeli, and Jordanian collections of C. europaea.
