A substance that looked like hashish, seized in Israel and the Czech Republic was analyzed with a GC/MS for the identification of the main cannabinoids expected in cannabis (Cannabis sativa). No compounds typical of cannabis were identified in either of the two sets of samples, but compounds typical of coniferous plants, most probably from pine, and henna (Lawsonia inermis), were identified (various alcohols and organic acids).
