Although they are soma-drinkers like Indra or Vāyu, the Aśvins, in the ninth mandala of the Rgvedasamhitā do not appear more than four times, probably because their cult has lost importance. Nevertheless, the few stanzas mentioning them among other vedic deities in order to compose a minimal pantheon do not contain very interesting data except the fact that those twins seem to be somehow more closely associated with the ambiguous Vāyu. Having analysed the stanzas, I propose some new solutions to the grammatical and semantical problems they present (9.7.7 rána, dhármabhih;9.7.8 vidānah;9.8.1 abhí priyám;9.81.4 suyámā;9.88.3 istáyāmā, viśvávārah)
