Mycclial growth and rate of sporulation of Drechmeria coniospora, Verticillium balanoides and Harposporium anguillulae were tested in different concentrations on liquid corn meal (CM) and on potato dextrose (PD) media. Mycelial growth of all three fungi was greatest in PD, whereas conidial production was highest in CM. Spore productivity increased in CM and decreased in PD with increasing nutrient levels. Mycelial production was greatest at high nutrient concentrations of both media. Of the three fungi, the highest levels of growth and sporulation were achieved by V. balanoides. Conidia of the endoparasitic fungi produced in liquid culture retained their parasitic capabilities.
