Observations were made of the behaviour of Crabro peltarius (Schreber) digging its burrow and breeding-cells and provisioning the cells with flies. For a successful hatching of the pupae a period of at least three months at room temperature is needed followed by a period of not less than three months at a temperature of 4°C. After this treatment the wasps hatch about one month later.
