This article is a response by Reed to two reviews of his book. Both reviewers write as Oneness or "Apostolic" Pentecostals, Millner from an African-American tradition and French from a predominantly white organization. Reed briefly examines three issues raised in the reviews based on their implications for race within OP identity: the historical roots of OP theology in early evangelicalism, OP's heterodox beliefs and tenuous relationship with other Christian bodies, and Reed's historical-theological methodology.
