With this article I aim to introduce the only known fragment of the Magisterium eumantice artis sive scientiae magicalis, an anonymous Christian text on magic preserved in a Florentine manuscript of the late fifteenth century. Five sections are included: an analysis of the work's title and my suggestion for its emendation; an analysis of the fragment's contents, related to my attribution of the text to Berengarius Ganellus, a Spanish author known to have written the Summa sacre magice in Perpignan in 1346; the dating of the work; some observations on the historiographical interpretation of medieval necromancy; an appendix with the first edition of the fragment of the Magisterium.
