image of Vetus Testamentum

Recently, it has been discovered that ostracon IFAO No. 1864 recto also bears an inscription. It says that B3j was killed as "great enemy" in the 5th year of Pharoa Siptah. This means that a connection between B3j and Moses (E. A. Knauf ) or even an identification of B3j with Moses (J. C. de Moor) is inappropriate. Whatever personage Egyptologists declare to be a "parallel" of Moses, B3j cannot be taken as one.
