[This paper presents a review of the current taxonomy of the Anostraca including additional changes with respect to the checklists of the order issued in 1995 and 1997. Besides the 23 genera recently listed (Belk & Brtek, 1995, 1997), two other genera are included: Gurneya Brtek, 1996 and Branchinellites Daday de Dées, 1910. Furthermore, two previous genera, Siphonophanes Simon, 1886 and Drepanosurus Simon, 1886 are maintained, in contrast to Belk's opinion considering both as synonyms of Eubranchipus Verrill, 1870 (see Belk & Brtek, 1995).

This paper presents a review of the current taxonomy of the Anostraca including additional changes with respect to the checklists of the order issued in 1995 and 1997.
