[Tridentella rosemariae sp. nov., the third species of Tridentella recorded from the vicinity of New Zealand, is described and figured. Tridentella rosemariae can be identified by the cruciform frontal lamina, acute posteroventral points on pereonite 1 and coxae 2-4, the deeply serrate uropods and pleotelson margins and the pleotelson having two sub-medial longitudinal ridges with a depression between these in which lies a median longitudinal ridge giving the appearance of three ridges on the pleotelson. The only specimen was taken in deep water (550-1484 m) in the South Fiji Basin. A key to the southwest Pacific species of the genus is given.
