[This paper provides a literature review of the presence of the calanoid copepod Dussartius baeticus (Dussart, 1967) in Portuguese fresh waters. The information gathered shows that the known records of the species are restricted to the upper Tejo estuary, the Caniçada reservoir belonging to the Cávado drainage basin, and four reservoirs belonging to the Mondego system (Aguieira, Raiva, Fronhas, and Lagoa Comprida). Thus, to increase our knowledge of the geographical distribution and the ecology of the species, a comprehensive survey would be appropriate to provide further data on the dispersal and colonization pattern of the species in Portugal. , This paper provides a literature review of the presence of the calanoid copepod Dussartius baeticus (Dussart, 1967) in Portuguese fresh waters.
