[The feeding habits of Palaemonetes zariquieyi (n = 262) were studied by examining the stomach contents of specimens from an Iberian river throughout the summer (June to September). The diet was characterized using the Index of Relative Importance (IRI). P. zariquieyi is omnivorous, feeding largely on members of benthic communities. The bulk of the stomach content was formed by chironomids (IRI = 21.69), oligochaetes (IRI = 19.53), and a variety of organisms, ranging from insect larvae to algae. Se ha estudiado la dieta de Palaemonetes zariquieyi (n = 262) mediante el análisis de los contenidos estomacales de individuos capturados en los meses de verano (de junio a septiembre) en un río ibérico. La dieta se ha caracterizado mediante la aplicación del índice de importancia relativa (IRI).
