Description de deux espèces fossiles nouvelles de Penaeus, provenant des couches de terre à foulon du Tertiaire inférieur de Kapurdi, district de Barmer, dans l'Etat de Rajasthan (Inde). Ce sont les premiers Pénéides fossiles signalés de l'Inde, et aussi du Tertiaire. L'auteur étudie le statut taxonomique des deux espèces par rapport aux autres Pénéides fossiles connus, et expose ses remarques sur les espèces de cette famille, connues des couches géologiques plus anciennes.
