Die das Kap Alitak (Alaska) umgebenden Flachgewässer repräsentieren im frühen Mai wichtige Brutgebiete für alte adulte Paralithodes camtschatica. Junge adulte Tiere waren ebenfalls vorhanden; sie waren aber weiter verbreitet und hatten ihr Brutgeschäft während des April bereits beendet. Mit Ausnahme eines jungen adulten Männchen wurden nur große, nichthäutende alte Männchen in Präkopulation angetroffen. Angesichts der erhobenen Befunde scheint die sex ratio von Männchen zu Weibchen zur Erhaltung einer gesunden Population auszureichen.
