Serolis vemae Menzies a été trouvé à 4680 mètres de profondeur dans la Mer des Sargasses, par 36° de latitude nord. C'est la première capture d'un Serolide dans l'Atlantique au nord de l'Equateur. La collection comprend une série complète de quatre stades males et de cinq stades femelles, qui sont brièvement décrits.
