Ein-und-zwanzig Langusten der Gattung Puerulus wurden in Fängen von Bodenschleppnetzen vor der Küste südlichen Mozambiques und Natals gefunden. Zwei Arten waren vertreten und diese wurden als P. carinatus Borradaile und P. angulatus (Bate) identifiziert. Ein Neotypus von P. carinatus wird beschrieben. Auch wird P. angulatus kurz beschrieben, sowie die kennzeichnenden Farben beider Arten in frischem Zustand.
