Une nouvelle espèce de Conchostracé, Lynceus serratus, est décrite ici. Elle se distingue de toutes les autres formes connues par les denticulations caractéristiques des bords de la carapace et de l'extrémité du rostre, par les épines de la seconde antenne dans les deux sexes, et par l'absence de laminae abdominalis chez la femelle.
