Description d'une nouvelle espèce de Conchostracé recueillie dans un fossé, le long d'une route, à Tuticorin. Cette forme, qui appartient au genre Eocyzicus, diffère de toutes les autres espèces connues par un plus grand nombre de denticules et de soies plumeuses sur le telson et les griffes furcales (d'où le nom d'E. plumosus), par le plus grand nombre de lignes de croissance sur la carapace et par l'absence de poils ou de spinules sur les lignes de croissance.
