Saipanetta ? bensoni Maddocks, 1972, est redécrit. La famille des Saipanettidae McKenzie, 1967 est renommée Sigilliidae Mandelstam, 1960. D'après la trace d'insertion du muscle adducteur les Sigilliidae n'appartiennent pas aux Metacopa. Les caractères généraux de la carapace et des parties niolles de Saipanetta indiquent que les Sigilliidae devraient être rangées dans une famille distincte de Podocopa.
