Eine neue Art, Euchlreila pseudotruncata und das Männchen von Euchirella splendens Vervoort, 1963, werden beschrieben von Material aus dem Golf von Mexico. E. truncata Esterly, 1911, ein naher Verwandter der neuen Art, wird wiederbeschrieben vom Typus-individuum (San Diego Region, U.S.A.) unter Herausstellung von Charakteristika, welche für die Unterscheidung von der neuen Art nützlich sind.
