Une nouvelle espèce d'Anostraca a été découverte dans les étangs temporaires de la partie centrale de l'ouest du Texas. Elle a été nommée Branchinella sublettei. Une description de cette nouvelle espèce a été présentée, ainsi que des commentaires sur sa vie, sur son écologie et sur ses rapports taxonomiques avec des espèces similaires.
