Le thelycum de toutes les espèces du genre Thysanopoda, à l'exception de T. spinicaudata, a été examiné. Des structures différentes ont ainsi été mises en évidence chez les diverses espèces, même chez celles qui montrent des caractéristiques morphologiques semblables. Seules les espèces T. tricuspidata et T. pectinata portent une spermatophore unique, les autres ayant, au contraire, deux spermatophores. Il n'a pas été possible de les trouver chez T. cristata et T. cornuta.
