Les specimens types de huit espèces de Periclimene.r décrits par L. A. Borradaile et préservés au Musée zoologique de Cambridge, ont été re-examinés. Des détails sur quelques uns de leurs traits morphologiques sont donnés et leurs positions systématiques respectives sont discutées. Cinq des espèces representées, P. ceratophthalmu.r, P. compressus, P. cornutus, P. suvadivensis and P. grandis (Stimpson), sont considérées valides, et la position de deux autres, P. brocketti et P. kolumadulensis est considérée comme encore incertaine. P. vitien.r est considéré être synonyme de P. grandis (Stimpson).
