[Upogebia acutispina sp. nov. from north-western Australia is closely related to the Indonesian form U. ceratophora De Man and to the well known west-african U. talismani Bouvier. The second species here described, as Upogebia poensis sp. nov., from Fernando Po, Gulf of Guinea, shows affinities with another group of eastern atlantic forms, such as U. pusilla Petagna and U. aristata Le Loeuff & Intès., Upogebia acutispina sp. nov. from north-western Australia is closely related to the Indonesian form U. ceratophora De Man and to the well known west-african U. talismani Bouvier.
