A new species, Mesacturoides raymondi, is described from the northern Arabian Sea. It is closely related to M. fimbriatus and M. brevisquamatus but differs mainly in the number and arrangement of the denticles on the telson and the smaller size of the proximal spine of the basal prolongation of the uropod. Diagnostic features, colour and remarks on its first larva are given.
