Se cultivaron las larvas de Paralomis granulosa (jacquinot) en condiciones de laboratorio, desde la eclosión hasta el estadio de megalopa, a una temperatura media de 11,2°C y en agua de salinidad de 31 partes por mil. Las larvas eclosionan en avanzado estado de desarrollo y la fase larvaria comprende dos estadios de zoea y uno de megalopa. Se describen las principales características morfológicas de cada estadio, incluyendo sus apéndices funcionales. En el cultivo en que se proveyó alimento, el 34% de las larvas iniciales alcanzó al estadio de megalopa, mientras que cuando no fueron alimentadas, solo el 17% de las zoeas iniciales mudó a este estadio. En ambos experimentos el estadio de megalopa se alcanzó en un tiempo medio de 10 dias. Se señalan las caracteristicas morfológicas que permiten diferenciar las larvas de esta especie de aquellas de Lithodes antarcticus.
