Se registraron 26 especies de ostrácodos planctónicos en las muestras colectadas de la capa de los 200 metros superiores en 22 estaciones ubidacas en el Hoyo de Bonaire y las regiones adyacentes. La diversidad de especies de ostrácodos es baja a lo largo de la costa de Venezuela y en la parte central del Hoyo de Bonaire, mientras que su densidad es más alta en las estaciones costeras, en donde predomina la especie Euconchoecia chierchiae.
