La famille des Stilipedidae (Amphipodes) est élargie afin d'y inclure les Astyridae et trois sous-familles sont définies: les Stilipedinae, les Alexandrellinae et les Astyrinae. Une révision à l'intérieur des Alexandrellinae inclut la description de deux nouvelles espèces, l'incorporation et la redéfinition du genre Bathypanoploea, des Acanthonotozomatidae, et enfin la résurrection du genre Astyroides.
