Les stades larvaires 1-6 de la crevette ouest-pacifique Pandalus prensor ont été élevés en laboratoire, et figurés et décrits en détail. Les larves éclosent à l'état avancé, avec des péréiopodes bien développés et des rudiments de pléopodes. Le développement postembryonnaire apparaît ainsi comme abrégé. L'hétérochronie du développement des appendices chez les larves est discutée.
