Leptochelia savignyi (Krøyer) ist die häufigste Art im Phytal von Amphiroa fragilissima (L.) Lamouroux, an der Felsküste von Lazaro Beach, Ubatuba, Bundesstaat Säo Paulo, Brasilien. Die erkennbaren Stadien der postmarsupialen Entwicklung werden beschrieben, und der Versuch wird gemacht, die mögliche Sequenz dieser Stadien zu rekonstruieren. Die Population zeigt ein unbestimmtes Muster jährlicher Fluktuation mit häufigerem Auftreten im Juli. Es bestand eine lineare Korrelation zwischen der Zahl der Eier/Larven im Marsupium eines Weibchens und seine Körperlänge. Die grösste Fekundität war im Januar zu beobachten. Das ganze Jahr über-herrschen Weibchen in der Population vor.
