Les différences morphologiques entre les post-larves de Penaeus kerathurus et Penaeus japonicus sont décrites en ce qui concerne la longueur de la carène cervicale, de la pince du troisième péréiopode, du second pléopode, du troisième maxillipède et des péréiopodes. Il semble que la différence de longueur de la carène cervicale soit l'un des moyens de distinguer les post-larves des deux espèces.
