Onze espèces de palaemonides d'eau douce appartenant à deux genres sont signalées des îles Fidji. Ce sont: Macrobrachium australe, M. equidens, M. gracilirostre, M. grandimanus, M. lar, M. latimanus, M. lepidactyloides, M. placidulum, M. rosenbergii, Palaemon concinnus et P. debilis. M. australe, M. equidens, M. gracilirostre, M. grandimanus, M. placidulum, M. rosenbergii et P. debilis sont signalées pour la première fois de ces îles. Ce ne sont pas des espèces endémiques. M. rosenbergii a été récemment introduite pour l'aquaculture. M. aemulum, trouvée dans des îles à l'est et à l'ouest, n'a pas encore été récoltée aux Fidji.
