Des recherches ont été effectuée sur les relations taille/poids chez la langoustine, Nephrops norvegicus, dans la mer d'Irlande. Ont aussi été étudiées les relations de la longueur de la carapace à la longueur totale, du poids du corps entier et de celui de l'abdomen à ces deux longueurs, et du poids du corps à celui de l'abdomen. Les sexes ont été traités séparément, et diverses différences ont été constatées.
