Des représentants du genre Bogidiella sont signalés de Yoron-to et d'Okinawa (archipel des Ryu-Kyu), et de l'ouest de Honshu. Ceux de Yoronto sont décrits comme Bogidiella (B.) brood bakkeri n. sp.; le matériel provenant des deux autres localités ne suffit pas pour une attribution au niveau spécifique. Jusqu'ici, dans la littérature, le genre n'a été signalé, sans détermination précise, que sur l'île de Miyako, également dans le groupe des Ryu-Kyu.
