[Les cils transformés des cellules sensorielles appartenant à l'organe de Bellonci conservent leur structure après incubation dans la digitonine. La digitonine agit comme un détergent extrayant le photopigment de ses membranes. A l'inverse de l'organe de Bellonci, les rhabdomes des yeux composés ont perdu leur intégrité structurale.
