Trichorhina paraensis n. sp. and Trichorhina amazonica n. sp. are described from the Brazilian Amazonia. The later species has been mistakenly cited in the literature as Trichorhina barbouri (Van Name, 1926), originally described from Panama. The description of Trichorhina tomentosa (Budde-Lund, 1893), type-species of the genus and widespread throughout the world, is expanded. Drawings representing the relative distance of the noduli laterales are provided for the three species studied.
