Despite the scarcity of data available to treat choking velocity in vertical air-solid two-phase flow, an attempt is made to obtain the characteristics of choking velocity by using experimental results which cover a wide range of particle characteristics and pipe inner diameters. New correlations are obtained and expressed in figures.
