The interaction of NO, NO + O2 and NO2 with KxGaxSn8−xO16 powder, including potassium ions, has been investigated by temperature-programmed desorption. In the case of NO + O2, NOx storage rapidly increased with increasing concentration of O2 and the main peak has high intensity with a maximum around 600°C. These results indicate that KxGaxSn8−xO16 has NOx storage ability with high thermal stability and is one of the promising catalysts for NOx storage reduction.
