Sir Keith Thomas, fellow of All Souls College, Oxford, and former president of Corpus Christi College and The British Academy, discusses his academic background and influences, trends in early modern history, and changes in the history profession. This interview with Prof. Thomas was conducted by the Historical Society of Israel during his visit in late 2003 to deliver the Jerusalem Lectures in History in memory of Menahem Stern.
