The three Netherlandish incunabula in the Marienbibliothek at Halle/Sa are fully described here. No. III has not been described previously, only registered in Lotte and Wytzc Hellinga's ioth supplement to Campbell's Annales (1965). The other two incunabula show variants on Polain's descriptions. In his introduction the author states that a number of dated and signed incunabula from the Low Countries arc to be found in the Univ.- und Landesbibl. Saclisen-Anhalt and the affiliated Hauptbibl. dcr Franckeschen Stiftungen at Halle/Sa. Whether there arc Netherlandish examples, and if so how many, to be found among the incunabula in those librarics which do not mention the printer's name or place of printing, cannot be determined so long as the new examination of this material remains unfinished. The writer hopes that investigators will co-opcratc in exchanging information in cases of this sort.
